Evaluating your Life and Your Goals

In today’s frenetic world life belts past at an ever-increasing speed and there are always more distractions in front of us.  The era of technology is a wonderful time to be alive, but it is also one that brings with it more and more stimulation, more and more distractions.  It’s harder and harder to have a clear mind.

To be master of oneself is to know who you are: the real you that resides inside that perfect vehicle for experiencing all you need to experience, your body.

That requires clarity.

One thing is for sure: clarity can be difficult to find amongst the hurly burly of today’s world, and it will be harder to find if when you get in from a hard day’s work you take a meal from the deep freeze and heat it in the microwave, pour yourself a large vodka and you sit down to watch four hours of television…

Developing Clarity using my Free Tools for Evaluating your Life Goals.

We are all clear when we are born.  As we grow older we copy what others do.  We see them hiding behind the hologram of the mod-con world and we do the same.  We hide our light, because the people around us hide theirs and we don’t want to stick out from the crowd.  But the light is still there, shining inside us with the spark of perfect self-expression: all we have to do is recognise it.

The world is a mirror reflecting back what we think into it and more importantly what we feel.  The really fun part is when you know that you are the mirror as well as the person reflected in it…when you recognise that we are all part of the same mirror, the same interweaving web of connectedness.  When you see this, you understand that by showing compassion to yourself you show it to others; and the world needs compassion more than ever now.

To be compassionate to yourself you need to know who you are, to look your self in the eye (literally) and see who is there behind the mask; to be able to take the next breath knowing that your self is the unshakeable, beautiful spirit with which you were born.

So many of us are taught to dislike trivial things about ourselves.  Maybe it’s our weight, our hair colour, or maybe our personality…Like the person in a restaurant who has just finished their dessert and sees another one being delivered to someone at another table, we are taught to say “I wish mine was like that!”  We’re taught to envy what other people have – when the truth is that we all have everything we need already.

Forget the hype, the commercials, the sales pitches: your pathway to personal fulfilment and peace is not to be found inside a can of fizzy drink or a bottle of whisky, and your true contentment will not come from a tube of skin cream or a slimming pill!

That’s because your light is within you already, right now, waiting for you to take a look and say, “Wow, it was here all the time!”  It’s waiting there for you, calm and patient.  It’s the light that shines on your perfect self-expression.  All you need to do is to decide you want to see it.

To help you to evaluate your life and your goals I have developed five simple steps for you to follow:

Step One: Download my free report “7 Ways to Enjoy Life”.  It includes 7 very simple, inexpensive ways to bring more peace and clarity into your world and to help to knit your family together too.

Step Two: Download the free 2-page Simple Ways Questionnaire and fill it in.  If you have a partner, fill it in separately and then discuss it with each other.  You might be surprised at what you learn.  If you have children, have them fill it in too whatever age they are, they can handle it, and you will draw yourselves together in the process.

Step Three: Download and complete the free One-Page Life-Map.  Make copies of it and put them in places where you’ll see them regularly each day.

Step Four: Look at yourself in the mirror.  Hold your gaze for a minute.  Now hold it for another minute.  Keep on looking, right at your own eyes.  If you feel like looking away, carry on until you get beyond that moment.  Give it time.  If you have a partner you can then do the same thing with him or her.  Keep holding each other’s look until you truly connect.  You’ll find you see things in a new light.

Step Five: Give me a call or email me on mysuccess@richardcawte.com and we’ll discuss what you see!
